IPU CET 2019 Eligibility has been prescribed by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The university organize a university level entrance exam known as IPU CET. Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) is organized to get admission into undergraduate & postgraduate courses in the university & its affiliated colleges. The University conducts the separate common entrance test for different courses. Here, we are providing complete details about IPU CET

Qualification Criteria:

1. B.TECH
Qualifying Exam:
Pass 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
Subjects: Pass the above exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and English subjects.
Minimum Marks: Obtain minimum 55% marks.

2. B.TECH (BIO- TECHNOLOGY

Qualifying Exam:
Pass 12th (10+2 pattern) or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
Subjects: Pass the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects.
Minimum Marks: Secure minimum 55% marks.

3. B.TECH (Lateral Entry) (for Diploma Holders)

Qualifying Exam:
Pass three years diploma in the following engineering/ technology disciplines from any recognized branch of AICTE with securing minimum 60% marks.
Disciplines: Computer Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Plastic Engineering, Printing Technology, Production Engineering, Public Health & Environmental Engineering, Tool & Die Making.

4. B.Tech (Lateral Entry) (for B.Sc Graduates)

Qualifying Exam

Pass B.Sc degree examination with mathematics subject from any recognized university.

Minimum Marks: Secure minimum 60% marks.

5. M.Tech (for Computer Science & Electronic Group)

Qualifying Exam: Pass B.Tech/BE OR
Pass Graduation IETE/AMIE OR Pass M.Sc & MCA.
Minimum Marks: Secure minimum 60% marks.

6. BCA
Qualifying Exam: Pass B.Tech/B.E (Tool Engineering/ Mechanical/Mechanical and Automation/Production/ Production and Industrial Engineering) OR Pass Graduation AMIE (ME).
Qualifying Exam: Score minimum 60% marks.

Qualifying Exam: Pass bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks and pass 12th with Mathematics and English.
OR
Pass BCA/BIT/BIS of at least three years duration with minimum 50% marks.
OR
Pass bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with securing 50% marks in aggregate.

7. MCA

Qualifying Exam: Pass BCA/B.Sc (Information Technology)/B.Sc (Computer Science) degree and must have Mathematics at 12th or graduate level.

Minimum Marks: Secure at least 55% marks.

IPU CET 2019 Application Form Correction

After the application for IPU CET 2019 is submitted, in case of any mistake in date of birth, spelling mistake in name of applicants or the parents name or in the choice of category/region claimed for the purpose of availing reservation, the applicant must submit an application in physical form (together with applicable processing fees of INR 500) –

NOTE:

This application must be submitted within 5 working days of the last date of form submission together with the applicable fees.
After this, no request for any correction will be entertained by the Examinations Division.
Window for making correction will be notified by the University before/during counselling for admission.

Ques. I want to apply for M.Sc(EM) and PG Diploma in Women Empowerment. Do I have to generate a separate ID for both?

Ans. No, there is no need to generate a separate ID, one ID can be used for both the courses.

Ques. I am a female from OBC category. What is my application fee?

Ans. The application fee for any course is INR 1000+ Taxes. IPU does not give any fee concession to any candidate. So the application fee is same for all categories.

Ques. Is there any seat reservation for south-Indian students?

Ans. No, there is no regional reservation. Students will be treated on the basis of the rank.

Ques. I applied for two courses through IPU CET, so I generated two ID’s. I read the instructions later that only 1 ID can be used. How to delete the second id also will I application fee be refunded?

Ans. You must mail the details over email to the authorities stating the entire scenario, then only your other ID will be deleted. The fee refund cannot be done in this case.

Ques. I am doing BBA from IP University. If I apply for MBA through IPU CET, will I get some concession in the course fee?

Ans. No, there is no such rule given by the IPU CET. Also, no discounts are given on the application fee.

Ques. If I apply for M.Tech (Tool Engineering) and M.Tech (Nano Sc. & Technology), do I have to write the exam paper on the same day, date and time?

Ans. The same can only be confirmed once the exam schedule is released however the two cannot be given, as the papers are different as the questions asked from the graduation level course is different for each of them.

Ques. I am trying to upload an image but it is not getting accepted. The image is 50KB in size, below than the size defined. What to do?

Ans. Logout of the portal and re-login to the system. Try to upload the image, if the image is not re-uploaded, then just re-size the photograph, then follow the steps defined to upload the photograph.

Ques. I want to fill BBA and B.Com form through IPU CET. When will the forms be released?

Ans. The forms will release in February. They can be filled on the website www.ipu.ac.in.

Ques. I am doing BA. LLB from LPU. If I want to enter directly in the 2nd year of LLM, do I have to write IPU CET?

Ans. Yes, you have to write IPU CET. However, the process details about lateral entry provision can only be understood by checking the details on the official website.

Ques. I want to apply for M.Phil (English) but I have done Masters in Psychology. Am I eligible for IPCET?

Ans. Yes, you are eligible for IPCET. However, the enrolment to the course depends upon fulfilling the eligibility criteria for M.Phil (English).

Ques. The system is not accepting my application form, it says that “already registered with the portal”. What does that mean?

Ans. It means that you already have completed the step-1 of registration process or someone on your behalf has done that.For further information, contact the GGSIPU.

Ques. I want to apply for B.A., L.L.B and B.Pharma, can all be done with a single form?

Ans. No, a single form will not work, you have to create one registration ID and use them separately for each of the subjects.

Ques. I am physically handicapped. Can I apply for IPU CET exam?

Ans. Yes, you can apply, but the benefits of reservation are only applicable if you satisfy the eligibility criteria defined for physically handicapped students.

Ques. I want to enroll in the B.Sc. (yoga) course. Do I need to clear the English language as one of the main 5 subjects in 10+2?

Ans. Yes, English language must be qualified in class 12 level, else your CBSE class 12 degree is not considered valid.

Ques. I have completed LLB and now I want to do LLM from IPU. Will IPU CET work for me?

Ans. No, a separate application form will work for you it will be released under the header IPU LAW CET 2019. We will notify this on our website.

Ques. I want to apply for the MBA program. Will my XAT/ CAT score work for my admission, as I have appeared for both?

Ans. Yes. Now you have to provide CAT score to take admission in IP University.

Ques. While filling the application form my system crashed. I was filling the application form IPU for my son. Before clicking the final submit button, I got the message that application fee amount has been deducted from my bank account, but same could not be seen in my son’s name, it says “application fee not paid”, what to do?

Ans. You can wait for 24 hours if the system does not show the updated details, you can request for refund by sending the details of the entire incident over email, the refund would come automatically. In the present scenario you can pay the application fee again, to complete the registration process.

Ques. Does IPU CET allow me to pursue a career in MBBS, or only NEET is accepted?

Ans. Only NEET is accepted.

Ques. Can I purchase IPU CET 2019 application form from the university campus?

Ans. No, you cannot purchase an application form from any university campus as the form is available in the online mode only.

Ques. What is the upper limit on the courses that I can apply through IPUCET?

Ans. There is no upper limit on the courses you can apply through IPUCET.

Ques. If I am writing IPU CET for pursuing B.Sc, what subjects do I need to qualify in class 12?

Ans. You must qualify Physics, Chemistry and Biology exam in class 12, only then you are considered eligible for IPU CET Exam 2019.

Ques. I accidentally chose the wrong subject code. How to correct it?

Ans. The correction can be done in the application form when the application form correction window opens up.

Ques. I have applied for B.Tech Computer science and I also want to apply for M.C.A. Do I have to fill the first form and second form separately for each course I apply?

Ans. The first form is common and has to be filled only once. Second form will be unique for every course you wish to appear for, so just log out and login with every course you select.

Ques. During registration my details in the first form went wrong, now I am not able to edit them. What to do?

Ans. The details in the first form cannot be edited at the stage of registration if you have hit the final submit button. So, wait for the form correction window to open up and then update the details.

IPU CET 2019 Application Form Status

The purpose of checking IPU CET application form status is to know whether the form has been received or not. If the form has been filled correctly and the fees has been paid, the status shown will be successful. If any of the steps remains incomplete, the form status will be unsuccessful.

How to check IPU CET 2019 Application Form status?

1. Login using the application ID and password.

2. Verify the information and click on ‘Submit’ button.

3. Current application status will appear on the screen.

Retrieving Application Number and Password

Candidates can retrieve their forgotten application number and password by following these steps:

1. Visit official website of IPU and go to candidate’s login page.

2. Click on the option ‘Forgot Application Number or Password’.

3. Enter the registered email ID, birth date and captcha code.

4. A link will be sent to the candidate’s email ID which will contain the necessary information for retrieving password and application number.
